Real Madrid’s Reign Ends As Ajax Win 4-1, Spurs Into Quarters

Ajax have pulled off a famous Champions League victory against Real Madrid by knocking the three-time defending champions out of the competition at the round of 16 stage courtesy of a 4-1 thumping at the Bernabeu.

The young Dutch side scored twice in the first half through Hakim Ziyech and David Neres before Dusan Tadic and Lasse Schone finished the job in the second half as Ajax beat Madrid 5-3 on aggregate to qualify for the quarterfinal stage for the first time since the 2002-03 season.​

Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur also sealed progression through the last eight by beating Borussia Dortmund 1-0 (4-0 on aggregate) courtesy of Harry Kane’s 48th minute strike.
