The International Telecommunications Union (ITU) in partnership with the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) is set to hold a four-day maiden Digital African Week Conference in AbUJA.
The Executive Vice Chairman of NCC, Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta, disclosed this in a statement issued on Monday in Abuja.
The statement made available to newsmen was signed by Dr. Henry Nkemadu, the Commission’s Director of Public Affairs.
Danbatta said the conference is expected to bring together leading specialists in the ICT sector from top policy-makers to engineers, designers, smart city planners, government officials, regulators, standards experts and the academia among others.
He noted that the conference, first of its kind and scheduled for Aug. 27 to Aug. 30. would bring together stakeholders in the fast growing telecommunications industry in Africa. (NAN)
