The Super Eagles of Nigeria on Tuesday failed to defend their 2-0 lead in the international friendly match against Ukraine as the match ended in a 2-2 draw.
Ukraine National team leveled up the two goal lead by scoring the equaliser in one minute.
It was Rangers midfielder Joe Aribo who scored the first goal. The 23-year-old is among the four newly-invited players for the Super Eagles game against Andriy Shevchenko’s men in Dnipro.
Aribo who hopes to play for the Super Eagles ‘as long as possible’ converted a curvy-pass from Alex Iwobi to hit the back of the net two minutes into the game.
Victor Osimhen scored the second goal for Nigeria 12 minutes to the end of the half-time.
The attacker converted a spot kick for the second goal, after Samuel Kalu was brought down in the 18-yard box by a rough defender in a close ranger to the center referee who immediate called for a penalty kick.
The coach Gernor Rohr led side dominated the match play with loss of goal begging opportunities especially in the second half which they could not maximise.

In what could have been a shocker for the Super Eagles was averted in the last minute of the game as the centre referee had to blow for an offside after an inter-played that beat Goal Keopper Uzoho was called-off.
Alex Iwobi was substituted for Alexander Esiti in, Samuel Kalu was brought out for Moses Simon in and the last substitute for Nigeria was the introduction of Dennis for Samuel Chukwueze in the 82 minute.
