The Senior Pastor, Trinity House, Pastor Itua Ighodalo has shown support for a Non-Governmental Organisation(NGO) that is championing the course of getting people to donate reading books for children in the society.
The NGO, Young African Bookworms- was at the pastor’s popular church in Lagos for the flag-off of the initiative and this, the elite pastor availed as he freely donate fun reading children books.
According to the Funmilola James one of the NGO volunteers, “the initiative is a one-month awareness program which is staring off in Lagos. The train will move round Nigeria. And within one month we hope to get good numbers of reading books to shared and used to revive the culture to read among our young adult,” said.
One of the rights of a child is education. This is one understanding we all should share and be ready to support. There are lots of children out there that like to read but the question is do they have a book or the right book to read? We all know how bad reading culture is these days but we can still help the situation by donating to right the wrong.
