Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey has the plan to spend months in Africa this year but coronavirus outbreak has been his concern.
New York (CNN Business) on Thursday reported that Dorsey who has planned to live in Africa with his business team for several months in year 2020 his “reevaluating” the decision.
It reported that Dorsey is putting the plan on hold over concern about the coronavirus in spite of a global report that Africa has no death case yet from the disease.
However, speaking at a conference in San Francisco Dorsey has said, either way, Twitter “will continue to pursue opportunities in Africa”.

He said, “I had been working on my plans where I’d work decentralized, as my team and I do when we travel, but in light of COVID-19 and everything else going on I need to reevaluate,” Dorsey said at a conference in San Francisco hosted by Morgan Stanley focused on tech, media and telecom. “Either way we’ll continue to pursue opportunities in Africa,”
Africa has the lowest case of coronavirus apart from having a no death record. South Africa Confirmed a new case on Thursday, Senegal since the beginning of the week the case in Senegal has risen to four, in Nigeria official report says one case as at filling of this report. Algeria has the highest number of coronavirus cases on the continent.
