Mobile devices manufacturer, Innjoo Technology is aiming to increase market share in Nigeria with the introduction of ‘Innjoo Leap’, a laptop that could be charged with the use of a power bank.
Mr Rakesh Rocque, the Country Manager, during the media briefing to unveil the product in Lagos, said that with the innovative technology, a power bank with over 10000mAH (Milliamp Hour) could fully charge it.
Rocque said that the laptop, which came in champagne gold and moonlight silver colours could also be charged in the car and would last for 10 hours, when working with it.
He said that the company was partnering with Technology Distributions Ltd. (TD), ICT Distribution Company to launch of Inn Joo Leap.
He said that InnJoo Leap was a high-specifications notebook with the status of being the world’s slimmest and lightest 14-inch device.
“Equipped with a lightning-fast processor, the InnJoo Leap is a fast, capable work tool effortlessly fitted to today’s dynamic and fast-paced business and lifestyle environment.
“The device is suited to the power requirements of tropical Africa with a 10,000 mAh battery, which delivers up to 10 hours’ battery life.
“’Weighing a paltry 1.275kg and at just 18.2mm thin, the InnJoo Leap is officially the world’s lightest and slimmest 14’-inch notebook.
“It has specifications that are ultimately bound to appeal to a growing generation of tech-savvy Nigerians, who rely on their devices to meet a variety of business, work, lifestyle and leisure needs.
“Going by TD’s considerable reach, wide reseller base and dominance in the ICT distribution eco-system, the InnJoo Leap is set to enjoy an overwhelming reception and demand in the market,” he said.
The Country Manager said that the InnJoo brand had a legacy of after-sales support.
He said that through Innjoo’s affiliation with TD, customers would have the opportunity of enjoying quick repairs and resolution of issues on warranty and out-of-warranty products.
Rocque said that the laptop would be available in the market from March and sell for less that N100, 000.
According to him, InnJoo Mobile has expanded its growing reach to Africa, where it has within a short period of time, taken a huge market share in the mobile devices space.

Mrs Chioma Chimere, the Managing Director, Marketing and Sales, TD said that the partnership between TD and Innjoo began since 2013 and had moved from mobile phones to laptops.
Chimere said that the Innjoo Leap laptop also had an advantage of style, in addition to other features that other laptops had.
She said that the computer was very competitive because no laptop was so stylish and cheap as Leap.
