Cameroon ‘Hijack’ Super Eagles’ Hotel Accommodation in Uyo

The NFF has been thrown into serious panic has the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon has already booked their choice rooms and floors at Le Meridian Ibom, the usual hotel of the Super Eagles in Uyo.

That may well explain a hurried trip of NFF delegation led by President Amaju Pinnick to the Akwa Ibom Governor Udom Emmanuel on Tuesday sources informed has said.

Nigeria welcomes Cameroon to Uyo on September 1 with the second qualifier in Yaounde three days later.

“Cameroon mean business for the World Cup as they have already secured and paid for their reservations at Le Meridian Ibom,” a top source Said.

“It’s like they have ‘hijacked’ the hotel. This has really set the alarm bells ringing at the NFF.

“They are far from happy with this latest development.”

The sprawling hotel has been the main training base of the Eagles for their international games since Gernot Rohr took over the team last year.

It is not known if the NFF has already arranged their logistics in Yaounde ahead of the second qualifier on September 4.
