CRISTIANO RONALDO’S son proves he is a chip off the old block as he perfects free-kicks just like his his famous father.
The Real Madrid striker has amassed a huge haul of goals in his career, and he became famed for being deadly at set-pieces.
And Cristiano Ronaldo Jnr showed he is hoping to follow in his father’s footsteps in intimate home footage, filmed by Nike.
Rio Ferdinand decided to pay a visit to CR7’s home in Madrid to interview the former Manchester United man, and while he was there it was the megastar’s son who took centre stage.
As the two former team-mates were talking, Cristiano Jnr was filmed blasting home a long-range effort that flew into the goal.
Then later on the seven-year-old decided to fire some efforts in at goal, with Ferdinand called on to play keeper.
Cristiano Jnr beat Ferdinand with a powerful effort considering his age, and then sees another go crash off the crossbar.
In the video, Ronaldo about the moment he signed for Real Madrid, and has fond memories of his education at Manchester United.
“All these people coming to see me was a great surprise, it was an unbelievable day, I was so proud, and I feel that the people here in Spain love football, so it was a great day for me.
“I just wanted to go there to show my level, to show I’m a different player, and this is what I did.
“I arrived, had a fantastic first season, then second, and I improved every season.”
But looking back fondly on his time at Old Trafford, Cristiano Ronaldo adds: “But I never forget the Red Devils.
“I learnt to be better and better, to be around the best players in the world.”
Asked by Rio where he sees himself in ten years time, the Portuguese star replied: “Maybe to do boxing like you.”
The pair were meeting in celebration of Ronaldo wearing the Nike Chapter 5: Cut to Brilliance Mercurial football boots.
And judging by the success he has had in his career, there must be something right with them.
