Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted cloudy weather conditions over central states on Monday morning, with chances of localised thunderstorms over Mambilla Plateau, Yola, Nassarawa, Bauchi, Gombe and Makurdi.
NiMet’s Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office (CFO), on Sunday in Abuja, also predicted chances of localised thunderstorms over most parts of the region in the afternoon and evening hours.
It added that the central states would have day and night temperatures in the range of 29 to 33 and 19 to 24 degrees celsius.
The agency predicted that southern states would expedience cloudy morning, with chances of localised thunderstorms and rains over Enugu, Abakaliki, Enugu, Obudu, Ogoja, Ikom, Eket, Calabar, Ijebu-Ode, Lagos and environs.
It also predicted localised thunderstorms over most parts in the afternoon and evening hours with day and night temperatures of 30 to 33 and 21 to 24 degrees celsius.
According to NiMet, Northern states will experience partly cloudy and sunny condition during the morning and afternoon period, with chances of isolated thunderstorms over southern Maiduguri.
“The region is expected to have day and night temperatures in the range of 35 to 39 and 22 to 24 degrees celsius respectively.
“Partly cloudy to sunny conditions are anticipated over the northern cities, with prospects of thunderstorms and rains over central cities and southern part of the country within the next 24 hours,” NiMet predicted.
