- We have paid it says NFF
NewswatchNigeria can report that the two international friendly matches planned for the Super Eagles of Nigeria in London- one of which was played on Thursday night against Senegal and the other against Burkina Faso planned for Monday night, which has now been officially cancelled, cost the country $300,000 about one hundred and twenty million when converted to naira.
Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) reached an agreement at that cost with the Colombian match agent Jairo Pachon who shopped for the two friendly matches for the country.
The Eagles drew 1-1 with Senegal on Thursday night, but the game versus Burkina Faso slated for Monday at the same venue has been cancelled.
NFF officials claimed Burkina Faso failed to secure visas for their players and so the “sudden” cancellation.
It was reliably gathered that the Colombian match agent Jairo Pachon has been paid the $300,000 to arrange the two matches in London.
“Jairo (Pachon) was paid $300,000 for the two matches,” revealed a top official in London.
