As part of their efforts to encourage sports among the students, Alumni of Estate Senior Grammar School, has lifted the annual inter-house sports competition of the school held yesterday.
With an equipment donation valued at N100,000, the President of Alumni, Oladapo Moses said the gesture was to encourage students to embrace sports and engender friendship among the students.
The one-day inter-house sport tourney ended with Blue house emerging the overall winner with 11 gold, 16 silver, 10 bronze medals while Red House was adjudged the most well-behaved team to finish second with 11 gold, eight silver and 13 bronze medals.
Yellow house finished despite being the best team in the march past and dancing competition. The team garnered 11gold, seven silver, seven bronze medals, while Green House finished fourth with four gold, six silver and seven bronze medals.
According to the school Principal, Mrs. Esther Jesugbamila, the tournament brought out the best in the students and encourage healthy rivalry.
