Champions League Red Card: “I did Nothing” – Ronaldo Protests

CRISTIANO RONALDO protested his innocence to Valencia manager Marcelino Toral after his Champions League dismissal for Juventus.Ronaldo was dismissed  after an altercation with defender Jeison Murillo inside the area.

The 33-year-old was visibly distressed by the decision to give him his marching orders, with the Portugal international breaking down in tears.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s involvement for the rest of the Champions League group stages is now shrouded in uncertainty.

If UEFA deem his relatively innocuous altercation with Murillo as ‘serious’ then he could miss their next three matches.

That would rule him out of a double-header against Manchester United.

And it would also see him miss Juventus’ next game, against Swiss side Young Boys.

Ronaldo trudged off the touchline in tears and was seen exchanging words with Marcelino as he walked off.

And Calcio Mercato claim the Juventus star said: “I did nothing.”
