Luis Suarez has expressed his excitement at returning to his former club Liverpool by posting an aerial shot of Anfield on social media.
The birds-eye view of the famous stadium was shared to his Instagram followers shortly before he arrived at the John Lennon Airport on Merseyside.
And the Uruguay international, who spent three-and-a-half years at Liverpool, also sent a special message to his fans, reading: “Anfield I am excited to see you again”.
The 32-year-old netted the Blaugrana’s opening goal in the first leg as Barcelona dismantled Jurgen Klopp’s side 3-0 at Camp Nou.
The Reds must pull off a miracle and overturn the deficit if they are to advance to the final in Madrid.
Former Liverpool playmaker Coutinho will also return to Anfield for the first time since he switched Merseyside for Catalonia last season.
Meanwhile, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino have been ruled out of the clash, dealing another blow to Klopp ahead of Tuesday.
“It’s a concussion so it’s a case of him not even being allowed to play,” Klopp said.
“He feels OK but it’s not good enough from a medical point view, that’s all. He is desperate, but we cannot do it.”
“There’s hope and that’s football,” he added. “We are far away from giving up.
“Two of the world’s best strikers are not available tomorrow – it doesn’t make life any easier but while we have 11 players on the pitch we will try.
“If there is an opportunity to go to the next round, we have to try.”
