CHAN: German Coach Plots Super Eagles Fall against Sudan

Sudan employed an experience German gaffer with the name Zdravko Logarusic to the Championship of African Nation (CHAN) going on in Morocco, and the tactician has said, he has no doubt about Wednesday’s Semi-final clash with the Super Eagles.
You would recall that the German coach led an onslaught against the Chipolopolo of Zambia in Saturday’s quarterfinal match and was victorious though with a narrow 1-0 win.
The German speaks tough saying the Falcons of Jediane will create another upset by defeating the Super Eagles for a place in the final.

“We are not having any sleepless night despite the fact that we will be facing a team like Nigeria. What stop us from beating Nigeria if we can overcome Zambia?

“Yes, the game won’t be an easy encounter, however, I am confident that Sudan will defeat Nigeria on Wednesday.”

Coach Salisu Yusuf may however be worried with the number of his key players who have been down with various degree of injuries.
According to the gaffer, Rivers United midfielder Emeka Atuloma is a major doubt due to a knee injury. He explained that Atuloma has been nursing a knee injury from the Angola game and should the defensive midfielder fail a late fitness test, his place will be taken by Ifeanyi Ifeanyi, who has recovered from his own injury.
Atuloma has been a regular appearance in the last CHAN Eagles four matches in Morocco.
The Eagles coach also confirmed that Sunday Faleye and Daniel Itodo are out of tomorrow’s clash.
However as gathered Kalu Orji, who was forced out of the quarterfinal against Angola, has recovered from a hip injury and will be available for selection.

Meanwhile, Super Eagles duo of Goalkeeper Oladele Ajiboye and striker Sunday Faleye has maintained that the team will remain focused as they take on Sudan.

The Plateau United Goalkeeper, Dele Ajiboye who is yet to taste action in the competition said their eyes is set on the trophy, and they are ready to give their all for the country.

In his own remarks, Sunday Faleye who has been ruled out for injury said the team will keep being focused.
