Nomination for Airtel Touching Lives Corporate Social Responsibility programme that offers relief, hope, opportunities and credible platform to liberate and empower the underprivileged, disadvantaged and hard to reach persons in the society has been announced.

Airtel Nigeria has given a month for Nigerian to submit nomination as it resumed the season 4 of touching live CSR.

Speaking to newsmen in Lagos, Airtel’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Segun Ogunsanya said Airtel is proud of what has been done in the last three seasons through the Airtel Touching Lives initiative.

‘There is no excuse for not doing good, not even to blame the economy for not doing good. For the past three seasons, Airtel has touched many lives, community, NGOs and have made many impacts’’

Ogunsanya maintained that though the economy situation poses a threat to business in the country but it won’t limit Airtel from touching more lives.

Airtel touching lives initiative has brought positive change in the lives of thousands of Nigerians by providing  potable water for several starved communities, built maternal and health centres for remote communities, built and renovated schools to provide quality education to the less privileged.

In the last edition, Airtel centred its Touching Lives CSR on  Aina Family at Magboro (Outskirt of Lagos) whose house got burnt and  also lost their children to the unfortunate infano. While all hope were lost that they had lost their home, property and children to the inferno Airtel was moved and gave the briefed some reason to live

Through the initiative Airtel Built a new house for them and furished it. The only survicing child of the Aina Family was adopted and place on scholarship to the university level.

Sheding light on preparation as it roll out drum for nomination Director of Corporate Communications and CSR, Airtel Nigeria, Mr. Emeka Oparah said Airtel through the initiative is teaching Nigerians the importance of giving back to the society.
