Is it all over for Alexis Sanchez and Arsenal? The Mirror reports that it is, claiming the Chile international “is on his way after a series of rows with Arsene Wenger.”
Wenger dropped top scorer Sanchez to the bench for Saturday’s defeat at Liverpool but brought him on for the second half with his team 2-0 down.
The Mirror says Sanchez “has made it clear he wants to quit,” with French champions Paris Saint-Germain “leading the chase” for his signature.
Its report says the decision to drop him was taken following “a simmering row after his performance and attitude in the 5-1 Champions League thrashing at Bayern Munich,” with Wenger feeling it would benefit squad harmony.
It claims the forward’s attitude in training has been questioned and “he has become increasingly difficult to manage.”
Sanchez, whose Arsenal contract expires in the summer, has been offered a new deal worth a reported £180,000-a-week, but the Mirror says he was “furious” at being dropped and is determined to go.
PSG “are willing to pay around £300,000-a-week and are confident they will be able to sign him,” while he has also been linked with Juventus and Atletico Madrid.
