Ticket sales for the high profile Warm-up match between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and The Three Lions of England on June 2nd at Wembley has not closed yet.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Saturday made this clarification stating that ticket sales are still on for the pre- Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup match.
Nationsport has however gathered that for a live view as the World –Cup bound Eagles trail tackles at the magnificent 90,000 capacity stadium, fans would have to part with £70, about N34,000.
The three-time African Cup of Nations champions will provide an important test for Gareth Southgate’s squad as the Three Lions finalise preparations for group games with Tunisia, Panama and Belgium at the World Cup.
The symbiotic match will also provide Nigeria’s German tactician, Gernot Rohr an ample opportunity to make his final 23-man World Cup list expected to be released and submitted to FIFA not later than June 4.
Rohr is expected to open Super Eagles final selection camp on May 22, with invited 30-man Eagles who will prosecute DR. Congo friendly on May 28, before jetting out to England for the Three Lion’s friendly which has been gaining international frenzy.
As gathered there are concessions of £10 off ticket price for students, under 16s and senior citizens on purchase of the ticket which has been on sale since March 21 and would end on June 2,- the match day.
Recall that England has played Nigeria on two previous occasions at senior level, a 1-0 friendly victory at Wembley in 1994 when David Platt scored the winner, before sharing a goalless draw at the 2002 World Cup finals in Japan.
