Frank Lampard has landed himself in hot water after posting an Instagram Story that referred to his wife and dog as “my two bitches”.

The former Chelsea footballer posted a photo of Christine Bleakley and their dog Minnie with the caption, and it has not exactly gone down well.

“Frank Lampard literally just did this nah man,” one person tweeted accompanied by the original picture.

“I can’t believe he said that. We should organise a protest against WAG jokes,” another person wrote on Instagram (via OK!).

“It is truth that patriarchy exists,” another added, while a third suggested: “Frank Lampard is definitely eating his dinner in the garden tonight”.

The post has since been deleted, though some came to his defence, one fan writing: “Frank Lampard posts a pic of his wife and dog captioned “my two b*****s”. deletes it later, presumably because people can’t take a joke.”

Frank and Loose Women panelist Christine tied the knot back in December 2015, the star opening up about their wedding earlier last year.

“She did, she did look amazing… and it went as well as we could have imagined actually,” he recalled.

“All the stress of organising – which she did 80% of at least! But on the day, we couldn’t complain, everything went perfectly. All our friends and close family were there, we had a great day.”
