Newcomer Paul Onuachu was on spotlight in the 90 minutes encounter between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and the Pharaohs of Egypt on Tuesday evening at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba which ended in victory for the home side.
Onuachu was a delight to behold on the pitch of play in the international friendly on Tuesday, not only in the first half when he launched his presence with a five star performance that started with the early goal that turned out to be the only goal of the FIFA graded match.
The Danish top flight striker scored inside 30 seconds from kickoff after benefiting from a poor clearance from an Egypt defence as he volleyed past the goalkeeper to give Nigeria the lead and historic early goal ever in an international game.
The tempo of the match was electrifying as Onuachu continued to warm his way into the heart of the Nigerian fans in the second half. Succinct to say that the early goal feat happened on his debut for the senior national team. And credibly, the tempo was sustained with a team work to give the Eagles the desired victory after 90 minutes.

The 24-year-old was a handful for the Egyptians in the game as he was easily the most fouled player on the pitch till he was substituted-out two minutes to the regulated time for Odion Ighalo.
Fact check shows that the Owerri born ace is the highest goal scorer among the current league of Nigerian internationals with 14 goals in his kitty.
The Pharaohs could not record a tangible shot at goal as Daniel Akpeyi was all at rest without being tested. The visitor struggled to make some impacts in the second half but Ikechukwu Ezenwa put up a good show as a stopper.
The last four meetings between Nigeria and the Pharaohs of Egypt have ended in three wins and a draw for the North Africans, leaving the Super Eagles without a victory.
