- Inter Milan 1-1 Barcelona
- Icardi levels for Inter (86)
- Malcom breaks deadlock (83)
- No Messi for Barca
- Champions League
The referee brings an end to what was a pulsating encounter at the San Siro. It ends all square after late goals from Malcom and Icardi. The result leaves Group B in the balance following Tottenham’s last-gasp 2-1 win over PSV Eindhoven at Wembley. Barca lead the way on 10 points ahead of Inter on 7. Tottenham are third on 4 points, while PSV are bottom with one point.
Though it isn’t really too much of a surprise, Lionel Messi has been completely left out of Barcelona‘s squad for their Champions League tie against Inter, though Ousmane Dembele does start.
The Argentinian doesn’t even make it onto the bench.
A win for the Catalans will send them into the knockout stages as group winners, and Ernesto Valverde has gone for an XI that gives him both presence in attack and security at the back.
