La Liga ready to expose Nigerian Ex-footballers to sports business

Ex-super Eagles player and La Liga Ambassador, Mutiu Adepoju has confirmed that the Spanish football league is ready to expose Nigerians to football business including former Super Eagles players.

According to Adepoju for sports administration to be developed in the country,  the business side of every sport need to be revamped in coresspondence with global best practices.
The headmaster as the retired fotballer was fondly called during his active days for the senior national team made these submissions on the side with Nationsport as
Spanish Football League, La Liga signed a Memorandum of Understanding(MoU) with Lagos Business School on Sports Business Management Programme at a media meet in Lagos.
Adepoju who reckoned that sports is not handled as a business in Nigeria as it ought to, has however thrown his weight behind a new initiative by the spanish league team in Nigeria which focus to revamp sport business for government and private investors.
He explained further that, “We are yet to see that sports being run as a business in Nigeria and infact this initiave is first of its kind in Africa and it is such that ex Super Eagles players and others can leverage upon to make meaningful future for themselves.
” A lot of my colleagues are exploring other facets in sports including administration, management, coaching, marketing, and others which is a good step in the right direction but they have to be a professional on these fields to be successful.
“We want the best to happen in football administration in Nigeria and this is not impossible but our people have to embrace knowledge to be a me to do it better including league managers and club owners,” he added.
The Dean, Lagos Business School Dr. Enase Okonedo and Academic Director Sport Business Programme Dr. Uchenna Uzo confirmed there are already lined up of engagement with the spa ish league to see more Nigerians certified in sports
