Honourable Mustapha -Ojora and Coordinator of Masses Movement for the Rescue of Oriade Local Council Development Area’s Political Fortunes has expressed optimism that the All Progressive Congress (APC) will emerge victorious in all the Local Government Areas (LGAs) and Local Council Development Areas election in Lagos state.
Council election will be holding in Lagos state by 2017 and national election will hold by 2019.
In a chat with The Nation Ojora expressed unwavering support for the ruling party and its national leader, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu saying hios led grassroots movement are solidly behind them and are set to deliver electorate votes at Oriade LCDA to the party.
The movement which constitutes thousands of youth members irrespective of tribe, religion, economic class and education, believe the success the ruling party recorded at the national level during the 2015 national election should be replicated in all the six south-west geo-political states of the federation.
Ojora was also optimistic that APC will emerge victorious comes 2018 in Ekiti state and that the party will begin to deliver the defend of democracy in Ondo for voting APC during in the state governorship election.
Ojora also showered accolades on Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos state for his infrastructure developmental program that were executed during year 2016. Hence, he described Amobode as “a man of the masses that has performed credibly well to the delight of the residents not only on the Island but also on the mainland. He has not deterred to make Lagos, the state of our dream that is habitable and safe. He has carried out construction and rehabilitation of roads in all LCDAs, his security and economic supports programs are masses centred.”
He affirmed that APC does not in anyway feel threatened by the much talked about opposition challenge against the party saying “APC is set to restore the lost glory in Ekiti by winning the state’s governorship election and also in Ondo state. We all are living witnesses of continued growth in Lagos state and this has reflected on Oriade Local Council Development Area (LCDA) politically, socially and economically, I must confess. So we are saying that at the LCDA, come 2017, the vote for APC is secured from the council.“
“We have started a collective effort to bring together men and women who believe political power belong to the party and are ready to defend and make sure they deliver the mandate back to the All Progressive Congress in the council.
“Thus, we are positively forging ahead from 2015 election knowing full well that no ground should be let loose again in the Oriade LCDA. Thus we have in earnest started mobilizing, sensitizing and enlightening voters on how to defend their votes rightly and not casting their votes amiss.”
Ojora also showered accolades on the APC state chairman, Otunba Henry Ajomole and the entire state executives for their continuing support to uphold the party in the state and making remarkable successes in grassroots politics saying they are shining examples for other APC states in Nigeria.
He said, “APC is a formidable party and lots of people have been craving for it. Lots of people have continued to inquire about the secrets of development in Lagos. They have even come to Lagos to inquire about the developmental plans put in place, but mind you, we in APC have a policy and the policy is that any of our members that finds him/herself in any political office must ensure that dividends of democracy are given to the people, so what you are seeing in Lagos state which others are replication is as result of the effort of the strong party policy which the state chairman upholds strongly.”
