Super Eagles Technical handler Gernor Rohr on Monday defended the use of Super Eagles forward Victor Moses in a position different from his usual role at Chelsea.
The Nigerian international plays as a winger or wing-back on either flank for the Premier League club.
But the national team German tactician said, “It is Moses who prefers the position with the Eagles and I am okay with his decision.”
“So far, there is strong competition as we prepare for the World Cup and I must say that nobody knows who would make the first eleven,” he added.
When asked why he preferred to start Ogenyi Onazi in his ahead of John Ogu, the Eagles handler has this to say,
“…Onazi has been playing regularly during the qualifiers and has been consistent, and Ogu has always being on the fringes of the team, well, they both have good qualities and are open for Eagles final friendlies as we set for the World Cup.”
The final phase of Nigeria’s preparation for the 2018 FIFA World is underway with the 35-man provisional list to be released on May 14.
