The campaign to make 2017, year of the consumers in the Nigeria telecommunication sector is gathering momentum as a celebrity personality from the Nigerian entertainment industry has been introduced as the face of the consumers in the nation’s telecommunication industry.
The Nigeria Communication Commission (NCC) said the consumer centered campaign will officially start on March 15, a date which the United Nation dubbed; World Consumer Right’s Day as series of programmes have been lined up by the commission to spread the consumer education and empowerment campaign in the industry.
Ali Nuhu – actor, screenwriter, film director – who has produced and directed at least 20 movies and featured in over a hundred Nollywood and Kannywood movies, according to NCC will feature in prominent roles outlined as the campaign train will move nationwide.
As gathered, Nuhu’s engagement as the Face of the Telecom Consumer by the Commission in a non-exclusive contract which is thus fortuitous and historic.
As part of his engagement, Nuhu will feature in handbills, flyers, banners, posters, TV appearances, radio jingles, as well as on memorabilia and other iconography materials designed by the Commission for its series of activities scheduled to sensitize and celebrate the telecom consumers as the most central stakeholders of the telecommunications industry in Nigeria.
