Nigeria vs. Ghana to Kick off by 7pm

The Sunday’s Super Eagles clash with Ghana’s Black Stars for the WAFU Cup of Nations final will kick off at 6 p.m. Ghana time (7 p.m. Nigeria time).

Today’s match will see the Super Eagles B; play the African Nations Championship finals for the 5th time.

In this tournament the Coach Salisu Boys have not conceded any goal. They have played five matches since they ejected Sierra Leone with a 2-0 win in the first knock-out phase.

They drew 0-0 with Mali and Guinea before seeing off hosts Ghana 2-0 in last group phase attrition.

In the semi finals, CHAN qualifying victims Benin Republic were turned back 1-0, meaning Nigeria has yet to concede a goal in the sub-regional football fiesta.

The national team players may make history if they defended this feat by not conceding a goal in today’s crucial final match against the black stars.

There are confidences that the Super Eagles will return to the country with the trophy from fans and officials from the country.

The Minister of Youth and Sports Solomon Dalung, accompanied by the NFF President Amaju Pinnick has led a delegation of top officials from Nigeria to cheer on the Super Eagles to victory.

Also in the delegation as gathered to the Cape Coast Stadium is NFF General Secretary, Dr Mohammed Sanusi, who arrived in the Ghanaian capital on Friday.

Super Eagles’ Technical Adviser Gernot Rohr who flew to Accra on Saturday and will also be in the stands as scout watching the match.

Nigerian local television stations will not be broadcasting the match live.
