The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet), has predicted cloudy and sunny weather conditions with thundery activities over most parts of the country on Monday.
NiMet’s Weather Outlook released on Sunday, in Abuja, predicted cloudy morning over the central cities with prospects of thunderstorms over Gombe, Yola, Mambilla Plateau, Jalingo and Ibi.
It also predicted thunderstorms over the entire region later in the day with day and night temperatures of 30 degrees Celsius to 38 degrees Celsius and 17 to 28 degrees Celsius.
The agency predicted that Northern States would experience partly cloudy to sunny conditions with day and night temperatures of 35 degrees Celsius to 40 degrees Celsius and 17 degrees Celsius to 22 degrees Celsius.
According to NiMet, Southern States will experience partly cloudy to cloudy morning over the coast and inland cities with chances of thunderstorms over Umuahia, Abakaliki, Portharcourt, Benin, Enugu, Owerri, Asaba and axis.

“Later in the day, thunderstorms are likely over the entire region with day and night temperatures of 31 degrees Celsius to 37 degrees Celsius and 20 degrees Celsius to 25 degrees Celsius.
“As a result of the current Moisture surge into the country, coupled with the increase in temperatures over the entire country, there are prospects of localized thunderstorm activities over most parts of the country within the next 24 hours,” NiMet predicted.
