- Wins 14th LGA, with one outstanding
Following the results of the Ondo Governorship election announced so far by the Independent National Electoral Commission on Sunday, it can be repored that Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu of the All Progressives Congress is the new governor-elect.
The candidate of the All Progressives Congress for the Ondo State governorship poll, Rotimi Akeredolu, has taken the 14th local government area out of the 17 announced so far.
INEC has announced 17 out of the 18 Local Government Areas in the state, with Akeredolu winning 14 of the LGAs, the Peoples Democratic Party led in two LGAs while the Alliance for Democracy won one.
The latest of the results to be announced was that of Ese Odo Local Government Area.
The result showed that while Akeredolu scored 10,700 votes, Eyitayo Jegede of the Peoples Democratic Party came second with 8,701 votes and Olusola Oke of the Alliance for Democracy polling 3562 votes.
Ondo State has 18 local government areas.
