Ex-Big Brother Naija housemate, ThinTallTony (TTT), says that his wife told him to keep his family out of the reality television show.
The evicted housemate has been heavily criticised for not disclosing to other contestants that he was married and had children.
But in an interview with Beat FM presenters on Tuesday, TTT said he was simply following his wife’s instructions.
“Before I went into the house, myself and my wife, we did speak. We are very private people so we like to keep our private lives private, she’s my backbone and I can’t make any decision without her asking or directing me,” he said.
“So, she made it clear before I went into the house that you keep my family out of it. I want the world to know you for who you are, your talent, which is what I have been hustling with.
“I kept it private because I never told anyone that I was married. I told Bisola at first that I was single then a week later, I told her that there’s a lot about me that you don’t know. I told her that I would tell her after leaving the house.”
TTT also denied that he engaged in oral sex with Bisola, a fellow housemate, saying that “nothing actually went down”.
He said: “Some people actually thought things were going on under the covers. We had our moments where we took off the microphone just to talk.”
“The real truth is you don’t spend that little time to do that much business. That was fake. You saw shapes. Nobody saw what happened under the covers. Nothing happened.”
When asked how he would feel if his wife was on the show, and he was watching her get close to other men, he said, “Myself and my wife kind of think alike. She’s very open-minded”.
TTT added: “My wife doesn’t like reality shows. She’s a private person. To be honest, I won’t feel anyway. We would have spoken about it.
“Family is everything to me. The kissing started from the kissing game. If you are playing a game, you are playing a game.”
ThinTallTony further noted that while he hoped to win the N25 prize money, his aim of going into the show was to use the platform to advance his craft as a thespian.
