CEO of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg announced on Thursday that President Donald Trump will be blocked from using both Facebook and Instagram, “for at least the next two weeks until the peaceful transition of power is complete.”
Zuckerberg blocked Trump’s accounts temporarily on Wednesday, following Trump’s posts on the election, which Facebook blamed for inciting violence during the Capitol Hill protests that led to the death of four people and 50 plus arrests
However, Zuckerberg noted in his statement that the ban is extended “indefinitely,” or at least until Biden takes over as President. Trump had asked the rioters in the video he later posted to go home in peace.
Meanwhile, the woman that was shot on Wednesday by a member of law enforcement, as a mob of President Donald Trump supporters stormed the United States Capitol has been reported dead.
D.C. police on Wednesday confirmed the death of the yet to be identified woman and no other details were provided.

Recall that the United States (U.S.) National Guard were been deployed to the capital, Washington after pro-Trump protesters stormed the Capitol Building to protest the results of the country’s November presidential election, according to the White House press secretary.
“At President @realDonaldTrump’s direction, the National Guard is on the way along with other federal protective services.
“We reiterate President Trump’s call against violence and to remain peaceful,” White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany wrote in a Tweet.
The U.S. Capitol building is on lockdown and the debate over whether to certify the results of the November U.S. presidential election, which president-elect Joe Biden won, was halted after protesters entered the building.
U.S. lawmakers are hiding in the building as protesters enter both chambers of Congress.
The protesters support President Donald Trump’s baseless claims that there was widespread election fraud during the Nov. 3 presidential elections.
