UPDATE: Atiku Traveled to Dubai to Receive Covid-19 Vaccine Debunked

Atiku Care Foundation has debunked the report making the round that Nigeria’s former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, traveled out of the country to receive a jab of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.

Its Deputy Director, Media and Publicity Remi Adebayo debunked the report in an online post and would want the media to dish out information without miss informing the public.

African Independent Television’s @aitkakaaki was tagged in the online post shared by Adebayo on Thursday stating that the elder stateman and foremost Nigerian politician has been in the Arabian nation for long from where he coordinates some of his foreign businesses.

Recall that the Social media feasted over the images of former Vice President, receiving a jab of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine in Dubai. The images were reportedly shared by Dele Momodu (a media entrepreneur).

The images has since generated reactions among Nigerians that the PDP presidential candidate in the last presidential election left the country for that purpose and possibly would set the part for other big shot or ‘money Bag’ politicians to follow suit.

Note, Atiku’s spokesman, Paul Ibe, reportedly confirmed that “The importance of the #COVID19 vaccine in mitigating the effect of the coronavirus cannot be overstated, particularly in Africa and Nigeria. Yesterday (Wednesday), as part of the mass vaccination programme, His Excellency Atiku Abubakar received the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine.” in Dubai.
